Chalet Madeleine is one of our most popular catered chalets in Val d'Isère, combining traditional Savoyard charm with spacious, comfortable living areas that are perfect for groups of family and friends. Sleeping up to 14 guests across six ensuite bedrooms, it offers plenty of room to relax together after a day on the mountain.
The heart of the chalet is the large open-plan lounge and dining area, where deep sofas surround the feature fireplace, creating the perfect setting for afternoon tea, pre-dinner drinks and long evenings over dinner. Outside, the private hot tub is the ideal place to soak tired legs while enjoying the crisp Alpine air.
Chalet Madeleine is just a 8-10 minute walk from the village centre and the main snow front. Alternatively, the free resort shuttle stops just a minute from the chalet and reaches both the lifts and centre in around two minutes, running every 15 minutes until late into the evening.
Like all of our chalets, Chalet Madeleine is offered exclusively on a sole-occupancy basis. That means your group enjoys the entire chalet to yourselves, with no sharing with other guests, creating a relaxed and private atmosphere throughout your holiday.

Bedrooms 2–5 (sleep 2 each): Double or twin bedrooms with en-suite bathroom, shower over bath and WC.
Bedroom 6 (sleeps 2–3): Double or twin bedroom with en-suite bathroom, separate bath, shower and WC. Can also be made up as a triple.
Upper level
Bedroom 1 (sleeps 2–3): Double or twin bedroom with en-suite bathroom, separate bath, shower and WC. Can also be made up as a triple.
Open-plan living and dining area with TV and fireplace.

Bedrooms 1 and 6 can both be made up as triple rooms, allowing Chalet Madeleine to sleep up to 14 guests.

We love food. We’re all foodies here at Buildmyskitrip, so our chalet menus are built around one simple idea: generous, indulgent, devilishly moreish cooking (and drink, of course). Every summer, we sit down with our head chefs to create the new season’s menus, using guest feedback from the winter before. Everything is then made fresh in the chalet every day by your own friendly chalet team.
To us, it’s quite simple. It starts with welcome bubbles on your first night. After that, we want you to be excited about coming back to the chalet after a day on the slopes – for homemade cake and a cup of tea, a glass of good wine (you are on holiday, after all) and dinners like slow-braised beef short rib bourguignon, a proper Savoyard tartiflette or sticky toffee pudding with miso caramel. The kind of dinner you’ll still be talking about on the chairlift the next morning.
Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and other dietary needs are catered for at no extra cost, and there’s a dedicated children’s menu for younger guests. Before you travel, we’ll talk through menus, allergies and any fussy eaters on your pre-arrival concierge call, and you can add everyone’s details in your booking portal – so it’s all sorted before you arrive.
A great catered chalet is great accommodation and great food. We make sure you get both.
The piste and resort-centre is just a 8-10-minute walk away, or a 2-minute ride on the free Val d'Isere shuttle bus, that stops just around the corner from the chalet (1-minute walk). The bus runs roughly every 15 minutes, right up until 2 am. Guests can download the Val d'Isere app to see live updates.
